Golf carrier Etihad Airways has decided to put four Airbus A380s back into scheduled service from summer 2023. The superjumbos will initially be used between Abu Dhabi and London.

The reintroduction of the Airbus A380 means a further increase in Etihad’s capacity in the clearer market and has a domino effect for the Gulf region and the Indian subcontinent which will bring more visitors to Abu Dhabi,” said Mohammed Ali Al derhairman Chairman of Eti Shorafa Group.
Etihad is expected to start operating A380s between Abu Dhabi and London Heathrow in summer 2023, creating capacity to increase frequencies on existing routes and add new destinations. Etihad is currently preparing to reopen. This includes the recruitment and training of A380 teams, including pilots, cabin crew and technical ground crew. In addition, five Airbus A320s that are currently parked will be put back into service.
