Skyalps has been officially a certified airline for a few days. The company, based at Bozen Airport, is now considering setting up additional bases in Italy.

The cities of Verona, Venice, Bologna, Milan and Turin have been considered. These should be shortlisted for the construction of an additional base, the company explains in the course of the announcement that it has received its own AOC. A decision on where to station outside of Bozen has not yet been made. In any case, flights to Rome depart from Verona Werksmann.

Currently the fleet consists of four de Havilland Dash 8-400. The 9H-EVA has already been transferred to the new AOC. The remaining copies are scheduled to switch from Luxwing to Skyalps by the end of March 2023. The charter cooperation with the Maltese carrier will thus come to an end. Originally, the company started as a so-called virtual airline, but has meanwhile obtained its own AOC and its own operating license. In the 2023 summer flight schedule, new destinations will include Dubrovnik and Kassel-Calden.
