The Lithuanian airline Getjet transferred the Boeing 737-800 with the registration LY-DUE to Toronto on December 31, 2022. Since January 1, 2023, this aircraft has been flown on behalf of the Canadian low-cost airline Fly Swoop.

Westjet’s subsidiary has commissioned Getjet to operate numerous flights from Toronto. For this purpose, the LY-DUE was transferred to Canada, where it and its crews are used by the low-cost airline. “GetJet Airlines is excited to start 2023 with this exciting collaboration with Fly Swoop. We have grown from strength to strength this winter season and our portfolio of companies has expanded internationally as our current fleet has a strong presence across four continents serving customers in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. It’s an interesting indicator that the airline industry is on the right path to recovery as airlines continuously seek to expand their networks,” said Rūta Kulvinskaitė, CEO of GetJet Airlines.

GetJet Airlines already has experience in the Canadian market – the company has already operated flights on behalf of the Canadian leisure airline Sunwings. The partnership marked a milestone in the airline’s international growth in 2019.
