In the coming year, Ita Airways will take delivery of a total of 39 new aircraft. These are 30 narrowbodies and nine long-haul aircraft. In return, older jets that were formerly in service with Alitalia are parted with.
New intercontinental destinations will open in 2023, with non-stop flights from Rome Fiumicino to San Francisco and Washington in the United States from the summer season and to Rio de Janeiro in South America from November, alongside the confirmation of all long-haul routes launched in 2022. The Airbus A321neo will serve the planned destinations of Riyadh, Jeddah and Kuwait City in the future.
