Berlin-Brandenburg Airport is investigating civil law claims for damages against those climate stickers who illegally gained access to the apron last week and thus caused a temporary cessation of flight operations.
The people arrested by the federal police have since been released. Irrespective of this, according to the Brandenburg State Criminal Police Office, there are criminal consequences for various offences. A corresponding preliminary investigation is underway, although no charges have been filed to date.
An airport spokeswoman initially confirmed to Aero.de that a civil lawsuit for damages was being considered. They do not want to bear the lost fees and the direct costs of the illegal view of the area. It is currently still unclear how much money BER will sue from the activists.
